I've been absent for a few days due to gyming it (well, I went on Monday and Tuesday) and had my work team lunch on Friday so was a bit of a hectic week between working. Didn't eat much of note or would have posted sooner. I even had a kebab on Tuesday after my Target Pump class (proper instructor, much better although thighs hurt for three days afterwards) which was rather naughty but went for falafel rather than meat. It was deep fried though, and I had chips. I very rarely eat chips though so won't beat myself up. It had lots of salad on it too!! ;)
On Friday afternoon 30 of us went to Rosso on Kings Street, Manchester. I wouldn't normally frequent a Man Utd player's restaurant (being a blue!) but it was not my choice - it was fairly voted on by the team. They don't seem to be equipped to deal with big parties considering how long we waited to order drinks and then how long it took the food to come but not to worry - we had a drama to keep us amused whilst we waited for the starter. Trust it to be at my expense!
A dozy waiter tipped a caraffe of iced water down my back resulting in me looking like I'd peed my pants. Nice. Typically I had my heaviest jeans on so took some drying under the hand dryer - around half an hour. Had to keep explaining to people coming in what had happened, me with my bum stuck under the hand dryer. Embarrassing. Anyways, thanks to my lovely colleague I at least got a free bottle of wine and many apologies from the waiter. It's not the first time my bum has been exposed to icy water but that's another story.....
Had a good night with the team but made sure I was home by 10pm, ready for Mr W's birthday the next day. Met a lovely old chap on the train who lives in Heaton Moor and had also been on his company Christmas party so we chatted away like old friends. I was possibly drunker than I thought but it passed the time :)
About Me
- Feebs
- I'm a thirty something food-loving professional who has decided to write a food blog rather than bore my Facebook friends with my constant food updates and photos. I love food and cooking and wanted to share my recipes and experiences with fellow-minded people. I am no chef but enjoy good, hearty traditional fayre at home and the occasional treat away from home. I am learning all the time and this blog will hopefully see my skills improve over time. It is documenting my progress if you like and giving me some motivation to improve.
